Janne Mark
Singer, composer & hymnwriter Janne Mark has established herself as one of the most important hymn poets and hymn composers of his time with her kaleidoscopic records from pilgrimages in music and existence. For her latest three albums SALMER FRA BROEN (2013) PILGRIM (2018) & KONTINENT (2020) she has, like a zealous sculptor, chiseled melodies out of the bedrock beneath her with a distinctiveness that has led the German label of modern European jazz ACT to publish PILGRIM and KONTINENT. Her clear and strong melodic line is driven by the desire to create music for common ownership and common use.
